Steps
Typical Workflow for Steeler
Change Configuration to Notilus Steeler
Change Configuration to Notilus Steeler from settings. ndSettings.
Create Project
Start by creating a new project with ndCreateProject.
Add Drawing System
Add a drawing system (e.g., structure, piping, interior) by clicking Add Drawing System from the Library Manager ndLibraryManager. Saved scenes/sections will be stored under the selected system.
Add Drawing Type
Register drawing types for layouts via ndAddDrawingType (used when creating title-block layouts).
Select Project and Section System
Select your project with ndSelectProject and choose the active section system with ndSelectSectionSystem.
Get Sections
Generate sections as needed with ndGetAllSections and ndGetPartSections. (By default, sections are saved on the local drive, e.g., D:\Sec.)
Save Scenes
Store scene definitions (clipping planes) using ndSaveScene if you need additional views.
Generate 2D Drawings
Create 2D drawings from saved scenes using ndMake2dAuto. Remember: scenes are saved under the active system (ndSelectSectionSystem).
Insert Sections
Open a new file for composition, then insert saved sections/views using ndInsertSections.
Label and Auto-Dimension
Label Steeler parts with ndSetPartInfo.
Create Layout
Produce title-block layouts via ndCreateLayout.

Genera i disegni 2D

Drafting Settings
Opens the configuration panel for Notilus Drafting. This section defines project paths, drawing templates, layer styles, and automation options used across your drawing workflows.
Change Configuration to Notilus Drafting
Change configuration to Notilus Drafting from settings. ndSettings.
Available Options
- Template Path – Select the directory that contains title-block and sheet templates for layouts.
- Default Scale – Sets the drawing’s initial scale ratio for automatic layout generation.
- Layer Configuration – Defines standard layers for outlines, annotations, dimensions, and hatches.
- Annotation Styles – Loads text, dimension, and leader styles used in 2D drawings.
- Auto-Update Drawings – If enabled, drawings will automatically refresh when the source model changes.
- Revision Tracking – Enables revision fields in title blocks, managed via ndSetRevisionInfo.
- Output Path – Defines where exported layouts (DWG, DXF, PDF) are saved.

Opzioni Disponibili
- Percorso Modelli – Seleziona la cartella che contiene i modelli di cartiglio e foglio per i layout.
- Scala Predefinita – Imposta il rapporto di scala iniziale del disegno per la generazione automatica dei layout.
- Configurazione Layer – Definisce i layer standard per contorni, annotazioni, quote e tratteggi.
- Stili Annotazione – Carica gli stili di testo, quota e leader usati nei disegni 2D.
- Aggiornamento Automatico Disegni – Se attivo, i disegni si aggiornano automaticamente quando cambia il modello sorgente.
- Tracciamento Revisioni – Attiva i campi di revisione nel cartiglio, gestiti tramite ndSetRevisionInfo.
- Percorso Output – Definisce dove vengono salvati i layout esportati (DWG, DXF, PDF).
